New Wedding Tea Favors & Gifts Celebration Ideas

There is evidence in Chinese history of the ancient uses of tea. It is an art to serve and a craft to prepare. Blooming flower tea, the fastest growing trend in tea drinking, is also often accredited to the Chinese due to its use of green tea leaves and the artistic manner in which it is created. It is believed that it was invented in China hundreds of years ago and now for wedding tea favors and gifts.

Also called “art flower tea”, blooming flower tea is also called hand-tied tea, art-teas or blossoming tea or blooming tea. The correct way in which the tea acts and develops explains these many names and the proper pronunciation: Blooming Flower Tea. Just take one look at the flower in the cup and it says a thousand words.

A blooming flower tea is a hand tied gathering of tea leaves and flower blossoms. Sometimes flavored with essential oils, the bundle is tied with cotton string and dried. When hot water is poured over the bundle, the leaves expand and unfurl like a blossoming flower. Blooming flower tea is almost always made of green tea leaves.

Several different types of flowers may be used in a blossoming tea. These might include marigolds and hibiscus, carnations and roses, or exotic flowers like jasmine, lily, Osmanthus and Camelia Sinensis flower (the actual tea flower).  Chrysanthemums and globe amaranth are frequently used due to their health benefits and cooling properties.

Blooming flower tea is not the same as other teas and has a few important differences.  One is that it should be served or presented in a glass vessel, such as a glass teapot, so that you may see the unfurling action and enjoy the visually stunning time-lapse-like presentation.

Blooming flower tea is also considered very aromatic, and does not turn bitter as steeping continues.  This is due to the fact that mostly all of the tea balls are made from white tea, or silver needle tea, which does not turn as bitter as a fermented tea would.  The low fermentation of white tea has the best health benefits of all tea.

Women should drink more White tea due to the polyphenol concentration which is a positive attribute to war on breast cancer combatting.  And, teamed with Lychee fruit, White tea has been well documented to produce positive effects against breast cancer!

Blooming Flower Tea also is made with Green tea and has been used in China for many things. Tea itself has a history that dates back to the tenth century B. C.  Although, the Chinese say it has been grown much earlier.  Furthermore,  it is in China’s history that the first book on how to buy and prepare tea is accredited with tea in Chinese medicine.  And, of course, tea is used in Chinese cooking.

The world has evidence of tea ceremonies in all countries. It is a very prominent part of Chinese culture. The various ways that tea is prepared, and how it is presented varies widely. Many countries have a tea culture that originated from China, however, each country has adopted their own specific purpose for their own culture.
